Game Play

This is a video clip of the game play. As you can see that there are 8 platforms that the main character jumps to reach the 8th and final platform. the Chubby-Man act like obstructions as mentioned previously in other posts. However i was unable to play with camera, where it would change to 3D perspective when the character would land on platform 4. The reason for this is time. I did not have enough time to learn properly the complexity of how to change the angle of the camera from 2D to 3D. That is one of the main aspect of the game that is missing and I mention about this in my essential proposal. That will be something I will get the change to explore in my next project and thoroughly learn the ins and out of how to use the camera in a game.

The second issue in the game is that my character Chubby-Man is not the main character which would’ve been playable. The reason for this is time again also the knowledge of how to make the character into a main player for the game. I was a bit disappointed how this has not worked out how I had imagined, however the Chubby-Man/Men have became into this sub-side players that act like obstructive objects with different personas and shapes that goes up and down.

I would like to learn about physics as well so my characters can do pressies commands that would have some kind of effect within the game and change the dynamic of the game, like “Thwomp” from “Mario.”

The game does have potential to grow and that could be achieved by adding more platforms so the character would have to go higher and more Chubby-Man to make the game difficult, so it would not be as easy as it is right now. The visual art could have a bit of work done to it so each platform would have different images/ textures and every single chubby-Man would have different facial expression and colour, so the character could have more of a personality. I would like to have some sort of audio to my game as well, so the player can find the game to be more interactive and engaging.

Overall i am pleased with my first development of my game and it have taught me to be more creative and explore other levels of creating a game. I do want to get involved with concept game art and gain more knowledge on that field.
