This 5 image is showing how I have created the mini-map and doing the blue-print for it. It is exactly the same as we had done it for the mini-map unit earlier this term the only difference is that i have not used a sound to indicated when the mini-map is turned on or off when you have pressed the key “M”, “M” for mini-map turn on or off.
Also the problem that i had in my mini-map unit was that the arrow would constantly point north and not change direction when the character did, it would only change direction when I moved the camera and the reason for that was when you click on the minimap_springarm in the viewport, on the right hand side where it says camera settings the four following options were ticked which made the arrow only point north and only move when I moved the camera. These four options have to be un-ticked for the arrow to work, “Use Pawn Control Rotation”, “Inherit Pitch”, “Inherit Yaw”, “Inherit Roll”.
