Coming from a fine art background I go through phases and obsession with artist and the recent one is Yayoi Kusama. I’ve known about Yayoi Kusama but, only recently have I started to obsess over her work through Instagram Facebook feeds and just generally looking at her work online. Would love to see her work in an exhibition.
Yayoi Kusama is known for her dot work and using mirrors to create this room that goes on for infinite and showcasing her dot work that are on objects that she has sculpted, furniture, prints that are placed on ceilings and wall or using lights to intimate the dots and having this room where space becomes disorientating, its for the viewer to experience this larger than life space that can go on for ever simply by using repetitive patters and mirrors.

I would love to make few of my art work for this movie have a scene like this where there are floating lighting in a room or as an environment. it would give the movie a bit of dynamic and drama.

I have incorporated her use of dot work in my own work for foliage e.g. trees, flowers or shrubs. This repetitive form of using dot really made it easy to cover most of the land and give depth to my work
