These four videos shows how each scene has been animated and what it looks like.
Now you can see that the lotus is moving in a circle but, the fading of the mist and the glowing of the orb is so subtle that you can’t really see it unless you focus on it. Now given the fact that I was away for a bit because of personal and health issues, which left me with very limited time, I don’t think that the animation is that bad because i got to learn on how to use the after effect software. What I would differently is that I would make the art work a lot more vivid with stronger colours and doing several tests of the images’s colour opacity by using Photoshop, so the end result would be more prominent.
Now you can see that there is a pause in the animation of the waterfall and I think that’s all down to NOT working in layers when I originally made the design and not giving much thought to how and what I wanted to animate in each scene. For future reference I will have to annotate each of my storyboard and talk about what will be moving or what needs to be animated along side what the story will be about, if there is one.
Now by looking at the video you can see how the plants are moving and after animating the image I realised that I wanted the tree to move every time there would be a gust of wind and that would be irregular, so it wouldn’t be predictable when the trees would move, showing the sun light glowing and finally the design of the leaves/ flowers that is sitting in the back should have been a different layer so, that would’ve have been animated like if it was showering. There is a Sanskrit way of saying it “pushpa vrushti”, which translates to showering down of flowers. I would’ve also like the mist/ clouds to roll through the scene in fine mist with a hint of yellow hue.
Simple animation and it works great, however the design of the this scene is to busy and I should have elongated it to show more distance to the stairs and the Ganesh statues. I should’ve also made one side less detailed show it would not look to busy and the viewer would not be diverted from the statues glowing. I would also like the trees to be animated and had some kind of “pushpa vrushti”, where the flowers/ leaves travel in a snake shape towards the front camera.
