Camehl, Tony is a concept artist that specialises in creature design, currently working in the video game industry and creating creatures for AAA games. The artist sketches animal anatomy in his free time, to learn how to sketch and sculpt them. the artist says that to make creatures that are believable one must be able to communicte their ideas in any medium, whether 2D or 3D and it is important for the artist to know as much as possible about the animal anatomy, to make the imaginary animals look real.

I love this spread in the book where the artist Camehl, Tony is breaking down in steps on how he is creating these marine creatures using watercolours also merging these creatures with human forms to create humanoid, alien looking being. He is also looking and imagining how bipedal creatures might exist and develop on an alien planet.

These quote by the artist, Camehl, Tony explains that working in AAA games, one of the most important stage to come up with creature design is to come up with the shape. Being a professional creature designer, he needs to have the ability and the skills to come up with the best fitting design and matched the description of the brief that is placed by the director. The reason he uses watercolour is, because the material is inexpensive and it helps the artist to design quickly and explore many ideas in a short burst of time.
