In the next few blogs I will be blogging my final drawings of my work. The work will have the cuisines name and the list of ingredients and a bit of information about when the cuisine might be eaten and what time of the day as well.

Kala-chana and potatoes with rice

Kala-chana and potatoes with rice is something that is typically eaten during the lunch time, because of the kala-chana to be high in protein and you have two sets of carbs it is a wholesome meal that can energies the body for the rest of the day till dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiled Kala-chana
  • 1 cup Potatoes
  • 1 cup Tomato
  • 1 1/2 cup Onions
  • 2 Chilies
  • 1 TBS Ginger paste
  • 1 TBS Garlic paste

Spices

  • 1/2 TBS chilly powder
  • 1/2 tps turmeric powder
  • 1 TBS Coriander powder
  • 1 1/2 TBS Chana masala powder
  • Salt to taste

Tempering

  • 1 1/2 tsp mustered seeds
  • 1 dry chilly
  • 4-5 Fresh Curry leaves
  • 1 tps Asafoetida
  • 1-2 Cloves
  • 1 Small stick of cinnamon
