
In my household we normal have daal in the evening with rice. It is a very light meal for dinner and it’s easy on your stomach.
Ingredients
- 1 cup toovar daal
- 1/4 TBS chilly powder
- 1/2 TBS turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 tps coriander powder
- 1/4 peanuts
- 1 medium sized tomato
- Salt to taste
- 3-4 TBS sugar
Tempering
- 1/2 TBS mustered seeds
- 1/2 TBS cumin
- 1 tsp asafoetida
- 3-4 curry leaves
- 1 dry chilly
- 1 inch finely chopped ginger
Garnish it with 1/4 cup fresh chopped coriander.
