
Beloved dish for me and my mother. This dish is either eaten during the day for lunch or dinner. With this dish you don’t need any other condiments or any other side dish, however you would want at least 1-2 table spoon of ghee. This dish is widely eaten in all parts and regions of Gujarat.
The ingredients for the daal is same as the Gujarati daal from the last post the only thing that is different is the diamond shaped ‘Dhokli’
Ingredients for Dokli dough
- 1 cup wheat flour
- 3 TBS besan flour
- 1/2 TBS turmeric powder
- 1/4 TBS chilly powder
- Pinch of coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 3 TBS oil
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup hot water
