I have picked this dungeon like room from the game Zelda: Twilight Princes. It’s more of a stylized room then a realistic room, that’s just the nature of the game, to be a fantasy based game.

So my inspiration to create my own room for the project “Seamless world”, was inspired by this room, where I wanted to have a cave like interior. The room would be made to look like a forest like display in an enclosed environment such as this one.

Zelda games always has this fantasy look to their game and especially the rooms/dungeons are made for the player to move through and solve puzzles.

I think the development of creating this interior space would have been tackled by a great team of artist and developers, where you would have conceptual game artists drawing several copies of one room, to show how that interior space would look like and what the colour pallet would be.

I think to make the room would have been, maybe approached in the same way as I have made my rooms for the “Seamless World”. by modelling the modular in Ue4 or even a 3D modelling software. The developer would have used the additive and subtractive method to create the layout of the room. They would’ve also used the blue-print to make several rooms so it would be easy to create a larger dungeon and don’t have to use each and individual modular to make up the interior.

In terms of using the texture I think the game developer would have used the textures that might have been drawn in a animation software or even got photographs of real tree bark and used them as texture. That’s a field that I have not fully explored in every aspects, but I am just speculating on what the skills might have been put into place to create this moss covered tree room.
